This, the third exhibition of the summer long event Leggera Materia, runs from 8 August to 7 September at the MuSA.
Meravigliosi Marmi. Art&Design: immaginare, progettare e arredare: this is the original title of the exhibition put on by “Le Mani, Eccellenze in Versilia” (Hands, Excellence in Versilia), that is celebrating its third year.
The exhibition provides a vision of how this raw material is designed, modelled, worked and sculpted; sculpture, design and artisanship celebrate marble interpreting its multiple shades.
The MuSA exhibition features work by artists/designers/international companies, including Paolo Ulian, Architettura Sonora, Henraux, Studio Franco Cervietti, Barsi Marmi, Emmepi Studio, Cardini Josafat & F., Szymon Oltarzewski, Ezio Ronchieri Group, Ilo Dati, Stile Luce, Veronica Fonzo, AMG Marble, Flavia Robalo, Artmarmo, Aldo Pesetti Marmi, Sophie Lafont, Bertozzi Felice.
Each of them put forward their own interpretation of the territory’s most important raw material, with works that showcase the particularities of this noble material through an extrasensory exhibition that hopes to illustrate how, thanks to the creativity and excellent creative capacities of local skilled workers, it is possible to hear, see, touch, and even print marble.
