Coinciding with the Summer Festival in Lucca there is the exhibition entitled “L’Immagine del suono” (Images of sound): art exhibitions, music and video performances at Villa Bottini, Museo Nazionale di Villa Guinigi, Chiesa di San Matteo, Baluardi delle Mura cittadine and Ex Cavallerizza.
The aim of this artistic workshop, curated by Alessandro Romanini, is to investigate how much music is a source of inspiration for pictorial, photographic, sculptural and visual art and how much art is an instrument of diffusion of the expressive power of music.
The exhibition has been organized by the Town Council of Lucca in collaboration with the Province of Lucca and Regione Toscana and with the sponsorship of Cassa di Risparmio di Lucca, Pisa e Livorno and the partnership of: Ministero dell’Istruzione, l’Università e della Ricerca, Opera delle Mura, L.u.c.c.a Center Of Contemporary Art, Camera di Commercio, ASCOM, Lucca Film Festival and SPAM!
