“Lucca in musica” – Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala and Enrico Dindo

March 29 at 21 the the cellist  Enrico Dindo and the  Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala, conducted by Omer Wellber, will perform at San Frediano Church in Lucca: it’s the first date of the 10th edition of “Lucca in Musica” Festival.
The programme features Crisantemi, elegy for quartet by Giacomo Puccini, the cello and orchestra concert in Si min. op. 104 by Antonin Dvorak and the fourth Symphony by Pëtr Il’i Čajkovskij.

Lucca in Musica 2012 festival is held from the end of March to the end of May, with 6 great concerts, a cycle of meetings, and film shows curated by Cineforum Ezechiele 25,17.
The programme is very rich: Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala and ORT Orchestra della Toscana, the jazz  pianist Stefano Bollani, the tribute to the Lucca born composer Francesco Saverio Geminiani, the “Requiem” by  Mozart and “La sagra della primavera” by Igor Stravinskij. And more over: a two day musical workshop with Alexander Lonquich and  “Prova d’orchestra” by Federico Fellini.

The festival is run by Associazione Musicale Lucchese and  Teatro del Giglio in collaboration with Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Lucca, and with the sponsorship of  the Town Council and Province of Lucca and the contribution of Lucar-BMW.
