LUCCA VIAGGIA LENTA

"Lucca Traveling Slow Project Lucca Ospitale" is a show dedicated to the promotion of the Paths, the Via Francigena, the territory of Lucca and the environment and slow tourism in general. Through the realization of various types of events (guided tours, concerts, book presentations, etc ..) our territories will be discovered by citizens, tourists and walkers in an unconventional way, also thanks to the concomitance with the running of the March of Ville Lucchesi.

May 29

h 9.00am – Lucca, P.zza San Salvatore. "Lucca in the Footsteps of the Maestro". Tour on Ciclovia Giacomo Puccini by bike to Torre del Lago Puccini and guided tour to the Casa Giacomo Puccini House at Corte San Lorenzo in Lucca.
h 10:00 am – Lucca, P.zza San Salvatore Opening Information and Reservation Point and Baluardo San Salvatore (Town Halls and Associations).
h 10:00 am / 6 pm – Lucca, Baluardo San Salvatore. Entry point Francigena Peregrinari Project Homo Viator. The "Homo Viator" trail is part of the Multi-Year Project "Peregrinari" and, through an interactive exhibition, practical-theoretical workshops and concert lessons, reconstruct and revive the musical culture that animated the streets of medieval pilgrimage. The day will be devoted to deepening various aspects of the sound-music-instrument, rhythm-movement-dance, sound-music-prayer, creating a musical, iconic, theatrical-musical journey that recreates the sound, musical and cultural background Accompanied the pilgrims on their way through some fundamental figures (Christ, the Apostles, Mary and the Saints). Ideal stops will also be offered both at the sources of production and in the passage and final destination of the pilgrimage.

h 7.30 pm – Capannori, P.zza Aldo Moro. Waiting for the May 1st Ceremony by the Commune of Capannori.

h 9:00 pm Capannori, loc. Camigliano, villa Lazzareschi. The Francigena variant – from Villa Lazzareschi to Borgo delle Camelie, San Martino in the hill, Montecarlo, Padule di Porcari, San Ginese, arrives at San Giusto di Compito. (18Km, departure and return with transfer).
9am – Altopascio. Via Francigena – From Altopascio to Lucca "on the day of feast". Altopascio, Capannori, Lucca with stop at Badia Pozzeveri for breakfast of pilgrims and stop at Capannori for lunch, visit to the Athena Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum and concert of May 1st.
