MARENOSTRUM, sea of peace

Marenostrum is the name of a group exhibition on show at Villa Paolina 21 – 30 June.

Inspiration is drawn from the latin term mare-nostro, reused and reinterpreted over the course of the centuries, which the Romans used to refer to the Mediterranean.

The name itself makes plain the sense of belonging deeply rooted in the history of the populations that overlook or overlooked this sea. It is this sentiment of cultural sharing that inspires this art exhibition, open every day (except Monday) from 18.00 to 23.00
