The Association Terra di Viareggio is a well-established reality that takes care of research on the history of the city of Viareggio. Every summer at the Association seat, in the garden of the church Sant'Antonio in Viareggio, a rich program of lectures and theatrical performances is held, whose primary purpose is to tell the history of the town and pass on its traditions.
This year's program includes eleven appointments, of which six in the month of July and five in the month of august.

Friday July 1
Tribute to Uberto Bonetti. Art is harmony: rhythm, color and of course love. Narrators Lidia Cerri and Andrea Baratti, present M. B. Sciré and Franco Anichini.
Friday July 15
Sei di Viareggio se… dal vivo. (You are from Viareggio if… live) Recounting the city through the emotions and the history of its inhabitants. Show by Carnevaldarsenasciò and the Antares group. Directed by Anna Jenco, Paola and Andrea Caldarazzo Pinucci. Presents Andrea Pinucci.
Thursday July 21
Allora? che si fa? (So, what are we gonna do?) Show by the company Circocinque. Napuleammore 2. Sketches and songs of the historical Neapolitan repertoire with digressions in different times and countries.

A voi, che nei vortici del mare furente... (To you, drawn in the sea raging vortexes). Commemoration of the Aranci Gulf shipwreck in the 120th anniversary. By the theatre company Terra di Viiareggio.

Millenovecentosedici (Nineteen sixteen). Viareggio hundred years ago between events and history curated by Terra di Viareggio.

Questo matrimonio … s’ha da fare. (This marriage … must be done). Comic reinterpretation in Versilian tone of the The Betrothed, with the company I neuroni in fuga.

Le immagini ci parlano… (Images speak to us). Reasoning of old photos and some old movie with Franco Anichini and Claudio Lonigro.
Monday August 10
Sullo Spoon River (On the Spoon River). Theatrical reduction from the Spoon River Anthology by Edgar Lee Masters, published in the United States one hundred years ago. Performed by the theater group Terra di Viareggio.
Show for the 72nd anniversary of the death of Friar Antonio Bargagli, killed by the SS in the marshes of Viareggio in 1944.
