A unique opportunity to see the works of one of the most interesting artists of international photography.
Michael Ackerman displays a selection of the most significant images taken in recent years. It is black and white with which Ackerman creates dense enigmatic visions of meaning. Its distinctive feature is the blurred images, a generic term which means hazy, or confused, and that in photography encompasses both the blurry and the unfocussed.
Michael Ackerman was born in Tel Aviv on September 3, 1967. In 1974 he emigrated to New York. Between 1993 and 1997 he undertook frequent travelers in India. In his career he realized three books and won numerous awards and accolades. His photos have been exhibited in many cities in Europe and the United States and are part of important collections at international level.
In recent years, Ackerman has held workshops and master classes at ICP in New York, at the Neue Schule Fur Photography Berlin and in various other schools and institutions around the world.
The exhibition, with free entrance, will be inaugurated on Saturday, May 7 at 18:00.
