MINI MAXI URBAN ART: a meeting with the new trends in contemporary art

MINI MAXI URBAN ART will be held Sunday 6 October at the Lorenzo Viani Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art, in collaboration with Laboratorio 21, organised by Gaia Querci.

This event consists of a meeting, from 16.00 to 19.00, that aims to raise public awareness of the new trends in contemporary art. The history of urban art in its forms and variations (writing, graffiti, stencil, adhesives, murals, installations) is retraced using video and MAXI showings of past films, selected by Vittore Baroni, from Style Wars of 1983 to Bomb It of 2011, that illustrate the activity and creations of the most renowned Art Star in the field.

In addition, the five young artists Duke, Etnik, Francesco Barbieri, Giulio Vesprini and Macs will show project miniatures; MINI models that reproduce street furniture and metropolitan glimpses, based on real or imaginary places, of contexts where these artists have intervened creatively with the characteristic techniques of Street Art.
