The inauguration of the exhibition “Napolitaneide. Storie satiriche di un settennato e anche più” will take place on Friday 1 June, at 18.30, at the Forte di Leopoldo I in Forte dei Marmi,.
The exhibition, produced by the Museum of Satire in Forte dei Marmi, offers a highly original survey of past and present satirical iconography of the political figure of Giorgio Napolitano, with over one hundred works by Allegra, Altan, Benny, Biani, Bruna, Bucchi, Burato, Careddu, Carra, Chartroux, Contemori, De Angelis, Disegni, Fabbri, Forattini, Frago, Franzaroli, FS, Giannelli, Gli Sgommati, Greggio, Lubrano, Makkox, Mannelli, Manzini, Maramotti, Marengo, Migneco and Amlo, Minoggio, Mora, Nardi, Natali, Natangelo, Nuele, Origone, Paparelli, Perini, Pillinini, Presciutti, Rebori, Scalia, Simon, Spataro, Staino, Superbi, Vauro, Vincino and Vukic.
Napolitano, over the span of his long political career has been a daily target of every form of satire, whether it be written, drawn or spoken. The exhibition includes one hundred comic strips, from the first ever published in Il Male in 1978, to those by Forattini and Staino in the ‘80s, finishing with examples of the thousands of more recent examples found in all the major newspapers and satirical periodicals, signed by Altan, Giannelli, Vauro, Vincino etc
The original idea for the “Napolitaneide” exhibition comes from Pasquale Chessa, and is curated by Cinzia Bibolotti and Franco Calotti from the Museum of Satire in Forte dei Marmi.
