From 29 June to 8 July 2015, the exhibition “No Violence! La bellezza contro la brutalità” (No Violence! Beauty against brutality) is on show at the Sala Corte dell’Angelo, in the town centre of Lucca.
Violence is an evil force which has poisoned the world since the start of time. An open wound that, especially in today’s society, has become a bleeding sore. Violence to women, children, but also in schools and stadiums are unfortunately ever more frequent; news that we hear in passing and that most of the time we don’t even comment on because it has become so common place.
The Association Kouros dedicates an exhibition to this sad but everyday issue, in the hope of awakening peoples’ conscience and at the same time sending a strong message against human brutality.
Through various types of work, each artist yells “No alla Violenza”, in his/her own way, to any form of violence, perpetrated not only against women often in love with their persecutors, but against any human being.
An exhibition to see for evoking emotion, but above all to fully comprehend that violence is never the right choice.
Artists: Maruska Berti; Cesare Cassone; Daniela De Simone; Roberta Ferrari; Lavinia Longhetto; Anna Nocera.
Vernissage 29 June 18.30.
