The opening of the retrospective of work by Antonio D’Arliano, Viareggio-born painter and carrista will take place Saturday 7 November at 5pm.
The exhibition, entitled “Novecento – l’anima di Viareggio”, is on show, with free entry, at Villa Argentina and runs until 29 November.
The exhibition, divided into three sections, consists of around 60 works, including oils, pastels, poster paintings and drawings created between 1913 and 1992. A century of Viareggian history, with the sea, fishing, carnival and nostalgia, comes back to life through the work of the papier-mâché master, Antonio D’Arliano.
