The exhibition entitled “Omaggio a un amico: Ernesto Treccani”, dedicated to this great Italian artist who passed away in November, 2009, is on show at the Ugo Guidi Museum, Forte dei Marmi, from 4th – 24th September. The opening ceremony is on Sept. 4th, at 18.00.
The exhibition’s curator, Vittorio Guidi, writes:
“Ernesto was always closely bound to my father by a strong sense of friendship, affection and the sharing of artistic problems. I often saw them in discussion, like when he had to learn the basic technical notions for the creation of his first sculptures in the garden of what today is the museum-house… Just a few months after his death, it comforts me to recall the artist, the poet and family man, with this exhibition of works that Treccani left to his nearest and dearest to mark a shared life path.”
With gratitude to Valdemaro Baldi, Antonio Barberi and Emilio Ulivi for the granting of certain works.
This exhibition has been realized thanks to the contribution by Co.M.P.A.S.S., Banca CC Versilia Lunigiana, Logos Hotel, with the collaboration of the Town Councils of Montignoso and Forte dei Marmi, Italia Nostra sez.
