Palio dei Micci

On the first Sunday of May the “Palio dei Micci” (the Palio of donkeys) takes place in Querceta: a race of 8 donkeys each one representing a contrada (villages of the area, mostly part of Seravezza district).
Before the race, that is often grotesque for the typical and inpredictable character of donkeys, the programme features a parade in historic costumes together with many shows and performances.
