PILGRIM DAYS

Three days dedicated to the world of the Via Francigena with a fascinating journey on foot which will start from Seravezza at the fair of Nove or of  Becchi and will end in Lucca on the day of the most important religious festival in the city, with an intermediate stop in the Valley of Freddana in Valpromaro (Camaiore).

 

This is the program:

Sunday, September 11 – Seravezza

In Seravezza and in the Medici area, together with the classic fair of Nove, will be set up the Pilgrim Village. During the day pilgrims can participate to a guided tour in the Antiquarium of Palazzo Medici, which houses the remains of the Pilgrim of Seravezza. Finally, some pilgrims will recount their own experiences of walking.

h. 10:00 – Opening of the Fair of Nove.
h. 13:00 – Pilgrim Lunch .
h. 17:00 – guided visit to the skeleton of Pellegrino.
h. 18:00 – pilgrims tales.
h. 20:00 – dinner at your leisure in the the restaurants of the center.
h. 21:00 – accomodation in tents in the Medici Garden.

Monday, September 12 Valpromaro

Departure for Valpromaro
Day off. Along the way you pass through two of the most beautiful towns in Versilia, Pietrasanta and Camaiore with their splendid buildings from various eras and ancient churches. Packed lunch.
h. 20:00 dinner and overnight at the Hostel.

Tuesday, September 13 Lucca

Departure to Lucca.
h. 13:00 Lunch at the Misericordia.
Afternoon and dinner at your leisure.
h. 20:00 Procession of the Holy Face.
h. 23:00 pm – fireworks.
Overnight at Misericordia.
