At dusk on January 5, in compliance with the tardizioni, the "Befano" and the "Befana" (tradition says they must be the couple of the village that has married recently), accompanied by the villagers, make the tour of all the houses in the country and, at the sound of the accordion, singing the typical chant of "Befana" start begging, collecting every type of offer: in addition to the classic glass of wine or liquor, almost every home is offered something (especially chestnut flour, walnuts, befanini, etc) fruit.
All proceeds are then brought to the theater villager Hermes Zacconi, where, finished the tour, the witch and the group go to sing and where the party begins!!
On large tables in the hall of the theater is poured, still hot from the pots, the polenta of chestnut flour, divided into so many portions, with laurel twigs. Anyone can use at will, accompanying the soft polenta with cheese, cottage cheese, biroldo, sausage and good red wine.
