Back on stage the characters of the illustrious scientist from Pietrasanta and his business partner from Lucca. The application of internal combustion engine vehicles, has promoted and increased communications, transport and industry, allowing the cancellation of distances between people and countries and indirectly promoting the growth of culture and the circulation of ideas of all the people who have traveled on those means of transport.
The International Award Barsanti and Matteucci will go this year to Alfredo Altavilla, of COO EMEA Region Fiat Chrisler Automobiles Group e CEO Abarth & C. S.p.A.
Born in Taranto and graduatet in Economy at the University Cattolica of Milan, Alfredo Altavilla started his long career in Fiat Auto in 1990. In 2012 he was appointed Chief Operating Officer Europe, Africa and Middle East (EMEA). In addition he is Head of Business Development and has been member of the Group Executive Council (GEC) since September 1st 2011.
The award-giving ceremony of the Barsanti and Matteucci prize will take place on Saturday April 2nd in the Annunziata hall of S. Agostino Cloister at 6.00 pm.
