PRESENZA

An exhibition of visual arts and new technology by the Laboratory for Perceptual Robotics – TeCIP, Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna.

The exhibition is the result of two years of work for the development and experimentation of the research project "Amica", implemented by the Institute TeCIP Workshop of Perceptual Robotics of the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna of Pisa and funded by the TIM Foundation under the announcement "Beni Invisibili".

It is the result of a study conducted by researchers and technicians of the perceptual robotics lab along with craftsmen and artists during the first year of the Master in "Techniques and management in the printing and art publishing" promoted by the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence with the Association Laboratory 2RC Workshop Contemporary and with the town of Viareggio.

During the exhibition period, appointments are scheduled, during which the researchers of the perceptual robotic Laboratory demonstrate the functionality of the "immersive products" and offer the possibility of wearing the virtual reality system to immerse themselves in a virtual lab and know, firsthand, the work and the wisdom that are behind the exhibits.

The exhibition also includes the exhibition of graphic works, plates, matrices – from the historic printing 2RC – by artists such as Francesco Clemente, Lucio Fontana, Francis Bacon and George Segal.
