Friday 24 April, at 5pm, the exhibition “Presenze. Assenze” (Presences. Absences) will be inaugurated at the Europa Gallery in Lido di Camaiore.
The exhibition, curated by Lodovico Gierut, brings together work by Sergio Mazzanti, famous artist and illustrator from Pisa.
These installations, Gierut says, include links to the past and present: “nothing is left to chance, and the symbols are not mere pretexts for experimentation, but the achievement of a pictorial space that unifies something that was before almost disintegrated, aimed at making people think […] A work of art must say something, must give something, must make people think, otherwise it is not art.”
The exhibition is open every day except Mondays, until 14 May.
Hours: 4pm-8pm.
