Versilia, the elective homeland of Giacomo Puccini, celebrates every year in the days between November 29 and December 22 – respectively corresponding to the dates of death and birth of the musician – the Puccini Month a packed program of concerts, conferences, art exhibitions and other commemorative events, hosted in the places that were particularly dear to Puccini.
On the occasion of the festival will be awarded at the Auditorium Enrico Caruso of the Gran Teatro Puccini, the 45th Prize Giacomo Puccini, a coveted award that the Puccini Festival Foundation pays each year to opera artists, whose career marks memorable interpretations of Giacomo Puccini's masterpieces.
