Rising star of Italian contemporary painting, Elisa Zadi follows her personal itinerary on the theme of the human figure, in particular of portraiture and self-portraiture, in Lucca.
Specialised in sacred art, in this exhibition she confronts historical and/or legendary figures tied in one way or another to the tradition and culture of Lucca, figures representative of an extraordinary town.
With the exhibition “Sacred Myths”, on show from 5 to 27 July at Banca Del Monte di Lucca Foundation Palace, Elisa Zadi offers an interesting array of paintings, where her own image reoccurs as a model, signifying her will to identify herself and participate in the earthly vicissitudes of those figures who, before passing to the sacred sphere and dimension of myth, were above all men and women, full of life and passion.
