In Pietrasanta the anniversary of St. Biagio has always been synonymous of fair. It is the first major fair of the year, an opportunity to meet people, do some shopping, and discover many oddities. For three days, the city center is transformed into a rich showcase of commercial proposals and entertainment: Crafts, modern art, antiques, clothing, sweet treats, oddities of all kinds, agricultural and livestock show, funfair. An event that retains the charm of the feast of long tradition.
The city's restaurants propose delicious menues of which the tordello pietrasantino – the traditional dish of the feast in honour of patron saint of the throat, is the star. 24 are this year the restaurants contracted with the event and offering hundreds of receipts cooked by experts who porpose from January 28 to February 7 their menues (prices from €12,00 to € 45,00) specially made for this date that yearly attracts foodlovers, gastronauts and tourist searching for the perfect duo Food and Art.
In the Cathedral of St. Martin the pilgrims can see the relics of St. Biagio, exposed to the occasion and join the blessing of the throat.
