From the streets of Venice to Greece from the early twentieth century, the Russia of the Gulag, the volume of Berberian told with rare sensitivity a thin web of emotions, memories and lives suspended, on the enchanted and poignant background of the Mediterranean and the glacial waters of the distant Siberia.
At the same time, the author manages to give life to a powerful storytelling – as big as the sky looking indifferent actions of the men and the destinies of peoples – painting a century of history and managed to move up from the first and intense pages.
The initiative, sponsored by the City of Castelnuovo Garfagnana, the Province of Lucca, the University of age free of Lucca and by the Historical Institute of the Resistance and the Contemporary in the Province of Lucca, will start at 16:00: after the greetings of Mario Puppa, Councillor of the Province of Lucca, and Francolino Bondi, President of the Municipal Council of Castelnuovo Garfagnana, will introduce the volume Gianluca Fulvetti, Director dell'ISREC Lucca, and will speak the same Vasken Berberian.
