From April 2nd to June 18th the little budding archaeologists are awaited at the museum of Man A. C. Blanc to participate in amusing educational workshops combined with themed guded tours of the archaeological museum. The project aims to integrate recreational activities with a first approach for the young visitors to some aspects of the life of our ancestors, such as the artistic production, weaving and feeding.
All elaborated works of art will be delivered to the children at the end of the experience.
Furthermore on Saturday April 2nd and on Saturday May 14th master Gionata Francesconi will entertain everyone with Masticabrodo, Fgiolino, the ogres, fairies and witches of his magic puppet theatre.
Saturday, April 2
at 5.00 pm – The puppet theater, by Gionata Francesconi. Cost 4,00 euro .
at 4.00 pm – Open gates at the museum. Archaeologists for one day. Testing of all key operating phases of modern archaeological research. Recommended age 7-13 years. Free participation.
at 4.00 pm – Grandparents at the museum. The discovery of metals; Metal casting. Visit of the museum rooms with explanation of the origins of metallurgy. Follows a clay workshop in which children can build a form of fusion and produce an artifact. Recommended age 4-7 years. Cost 3,00 euro.
at 4.00 pm – The discovery of metals. Creation of a copper pendant. Visit of the museum rooms with explanation of the origins of metallurgy. Employing the technique of twisting the children can build a straw necklace. Then using copper they will build a double spiral pendant. Recommended age 7 and older. Cost 3.00 euro.
at 5.00 pm – The puppet theater, by Gionata Francesconi. Cost 4,00 euro.
