When the sun is on its way pierce Mount Forato with its rays, then it is time for the Summer Solstice. This event is the apotheosis of the light: the longest day of the year, an occasion for sacred and profane prophecies. At the end of June Pruno, Volegno and Cardoso are enliven wiht initiatives of international importance dedicated to the celebration of the solstice.
The manifestation of the "Summer Solstice", was founded in 1997 when the secret "Apuan Book" revealed the secret of the Apuan during the days of the Summer Solstice: Mount Drilled pierced by the rays of the sun in the early hours of the morning. Around this natural event, already it is known and appreciated by the ancient inhabitants of the valley.
Since then, some elements have made exclusive and fascinating initiative that is repeated every year. to discover the beauties of the Versilia: performances of street artists, concerts, book presentations, nature trails, gastronomy and local products tasting.
