The Teatro del Giglio , always artistic and cultural landmark of the city of Lucca, in 1985 he received the recognition of Theatre Tradition. Its origin dates back more than three centuries ago, when the Council of the Republic of Lucca established by decree a public theater that had an intense attitività art over the centuries .
The activity of the Teatro del Giglio is divided into seasons . Among these stands out for its importance and commitment the Opera season that , by custom , inaugurated the theater season, the long winter months until spring wind the Prose Season , Season of Dance and Music concert season called Lucca in Musica (in collaboration with the Lucchese Music Association ).
In spring and autumn are held on Sunday morning concert aperitif.

Inspired by the 1963 film Anger, in which Pasolini constructs a world vision staff where great utopias of his time living with the economic boom. To act as a boundary to all the songs of Fabrizio De André: poems to music ranging from rebellion and from ballads to the provocation policy and sore visionary of "saved souls".
