Tenuta dello Scompiglio: “D-Code”

21-22 November, at 7.30pm, in the SPE (exhibition performance space) of the Tenuta dello Scompiglio, The Karavan Ensemble will perform “D-Code”. 

This is a visual performance for a soloist dancer, on the theme of our true origins, conceived and interpreted by Yael Karavan in partnership with composer and sound artist Carl G. Beukman. “D-Code” mixes Nature and Culture, with particular emphasis on the patrimony that each of us carry inside, after almost three million years of nomadism. In answer to an ever more multicultural world, where it is increasingly difficult to create a self-identity through a physical location, and where it’s difficult to far reconcile globalisation and the tendency of countries to close their geographical borders, to defend and protect them, this project aims to draw our attention to the importance of our origins and shared journeys.
