Near Camaiore, along the via provinciale leading to Lucca, is situated the village Marignana, where since the year dot on January 6 the inhabitants organize a great feast of the Epiphany.
This year the Befana witch will come at 2:00 pm from the sky by helicopter, and will be loaded with gifts for everyone.
Children are all invited to visit her home and receive from the nice old woman some sweets, while on the church square you can wander around among the stalls displaying goodies, craft produtcts, gastronomy specialties and games from other times. Unusual and unique in its kind is the huge guinness stocking, more than ten meters long, that comes down from the church belltower to the ground.
Anyone who feels lucky can participate in the lucky dip, maybe an unexpected gift arrives. Finally, visitors can admire the historic crib in the village church.
