La stanza guardaroba

The Giacomo Puccini Villa Museum has a new space: the wardrobe room is now open to the public.

On the anniversary of Giacomo Puccini’s birth, the Simonetta Puccini Foundation is thrilled to announce the opening to the public of a new room on the first floor of the Giacomo Puccini Villa Museum, expanding the visitor route and bringing visitors ever closer to the Maestro’s most intimate and everyday life.

The new room was the Puccini’s wardrobe room, a space that connects directly to Giacomo and Elvira Puccini’s bedroom and helps convey the authentic feel of a lived-in home. Inside, visitors can admire monogrammed suitcases and trunks, hats and hatboxes, the original waistcoat, and other personal items, once part of a domestic life filled with travel, work, and everyday details.
