The Gallery of Modern Art "Lorenzo Viani" proposes, every third Sunday of the month, a free guided tour organized by the Amici del Museo (Friends of the Museum) to get acquainted with the works of the GAMC collections:
– Segno/ Gesto/ Materia.
– European experiences in the art of the period after World War II.
– Artworks of the Pieraccini donation
– Donation Lucarelli and Collection Varraud-Santini
– Rosai at GAMC
– Artworks of the Donation Catarsini
At 9:00 pm., at the conclusion of the exhibition Dress Codex, contemporary urgencies as a magazine, the BAU artists will interact through citation and reflections with the powerful works exhibited in the Sala Viani. Subsequently, Verdiana Raw will perform a concert.
Gallery of Modern Art "Lorenzo Viani" owns a collection of over 3000 works of about 750 leading artists of the twentieth century. It is significant the presence of local authors or of artists who have had various types of links with this land and of works depicting local landscapes. The GAMC also owns the largest public collection of works by Lorenzo Viani, original exponent of the European Expressionism.
