An event organized by the Town Council with the active collaboration of the Association Amateur Sports Palla Elastica Vallico.
Piazzale del Fosso is a symbolic place for games and sports of this kind. Here was played until the period of the war and beyond the game of the bracelet, a game similar in some ways to what today is disputed by modern methods for the elastic ball.
From 14.00 hosts the reenactment of the elastic ball game close to the town center. The ancient walls that surround the oldest part of Barga will serve as a quay wall for the game so promising a unique show of its kind.
From here, a few years ago the idea of “‹”‹using the same playing field to know a sport still widely practiced, especially in some areas of the Garfagnana, the municipality of Vergemoli Factories, with Vallico in the lead, first and foremost, but also the Metra area, Pieve San Lorenzo (Minucciano) in the high Garfagnana and also the area of “‹”‹the mountains of Villa Basilica.
Six teams present in Barga for this commemoration, however, valid for the official calendar of the Federation of Game Elastic Ball.
