The view of the hills of Lucca and the Romanesque Pieve of the 1200 will be the scenery of the theater under the stars that will accompany the audience through a rundown of the most popular songs played and arranged by Maynard Ferguson during his long career as a trumpet player and composer.
Canadian by birth, Ferguson has lived in the United States and Britain scoring one success after another and making the dreams of millions of listeners until his death, which occurred ten years ago.
The music will start on the notes of "Caribbean Concerto" Kees Vlak to continue with "Hey Jude" by John Lennon and Paul McCartney ranging, then, as "Nessun Dorma" from Puccini to "Tu si '' na big thing" by Domenico Modugno.
Honor Guest of the evening will be the trumpeter Viareggio Andrea Tofanelli who had the good fortune to work with great Ferguson.
