A conference on the paths and cultural itineraries, to talk about the prospects for the European Forum on Cultural Itineraries in September.
The growing interest in the development of the paths and the upcoming meeting with the Council of Europe's VII Advisory Forum on the thirty-year program of European routes create the ideal conditions for this moment of dialogue and discussion on the theme of Territorial enhancement.

 

New opportunities that look to an integrated design, and find in the Apennines development axis Lucca – Pavia a reference model on which to intervene, enhancing the nascent system of Tuscan paths.
A comparison of existing experiences that help to understand how to build the competitiveness of slow tourism through the valorisation of local typologies and cultural identity, in line with the values “‹”‹and principles inspired by the Council of Europe's Cultural Itineraries program.

 

"Verso il Forum Europeo di Lucca", this is the title of the meeting that will be held on Thursday 04 May starting at 9.30 am at the headquarters of the Entry Point Francigena di Lucca, and to which will be the main national and Tuscan institutional representatives in the field Of cultural itineraries.

 

The meeting, organized by the European Federation of Historical Cultural and Tourist Routes (Feisct) in collaboration with the European Association Vie Francigene, the Tuscany Region, the City of Lucca, Federculture, Collodi National Foundation, and the Chambers of Commerce of Lucca and Pavia, The intervention of various institutional representatives, moderated by Sabrina Busato, President Feisct, starting from the Mayor of Lucca Alessandro Tambellini, the President of the Regional Council Eugenio Giani, the President of the Commission VII of the Senate Andrea Marcucci.

 

The morning session, coordinated by Alberto d'Alessandro, Operations Director of the VII European Forum in Lucca, includes interventions by Massimo Tedeschi, President of the European Association of Lucca, on the experience of Francigena as a carrier for local development, Stefano Baccelli, Councilor Regional, intermodal and infrastructural development, Cav. Ademaro Cordoni, Vice-President of Lucca Chamber of Commerce, Patrizia Achille, Chamber of Commerce of Pavia, for the development perspective of the Lucca-Pavia axis, Lucia Baracchini, Mayor of Pontremoli, for the economic development opportunities linked to the itinerary The development experience of Via Francigena, Enrica Lemmi, Coordinator Area Tourism Campus, for the territorial tourism systems and the importance of training in the promotion of the territory.

 

The afternoon session, moderated by Francesca Velani, Vice President PromoPA and Director Lubec, includes the interventions of Paolo Grassi, Mayor of Fivizzano for the presentation of Via del Volto Santo, Marco Remaschi, Councilor for Agriculture of the Tuscany Region, Gianni Baruffa, City of Volterra for the Way of the Salt, Pier Francesco Bernacchi, President of the Carlo Collodi National Foundation for the presentation of the Forum of Lucca and Via della Fiaba, Sandro Vannucci, Journalist Rai, will talk about Via Clodia, Cinzia Nicolini of Sigeric Tourism, will present experiences of good practices in the territories, Stefano Tacconi, member of the Coni Toscana Council will present the importance of sport and hippo in the development of cultural itineraries, Paolo Piacentini, expert and responsible for the paths for Mibact will make a budget on the year just ended Of the paths, Alberto Peruzzini, Director of Tuscany Tourist Promotion, will talk about promotions One of the territory at international level.
