“Volare” is the title of the one-man exhibition by the Lucca artist Fabrizio Barsotti, with free admission from 6 – 21 November at the Fondazione Banca del Monte di Lucca. On show are around thirty works using various techniques on the theme of flight, inspired by “The Little Prince” by Saint-Exupèry.
Barsotti, born in Lucca in 1968, is a self taught artist whose debut dates to the second half of the eighties. His early work drew the immediate attention of critics and art lovers. His work expresses a vivid and sincere inspiration and an unfailing technical mastery. Due to an original technique of progressive layering of various materials the creations come to have a particular density, bordering between painting and sculpture.
