Two great artists in comparison, two men, who, although in different ways had realized that it was no longer possible to bring innovation to the world of art by using traditional instruments. And as a creative artist and son of his time could not even ward off some forms of the market in his daily life, they have decided to revive the already done, what was already known to the public, so that it could be enjoyed differently through some conceptual and artistic adroitness.
Both Warhol that Gartel recognize the market as an objective need that has to be investigated through a constant and obsessive search for new forms of expression, new means of communication and interaction. But not all the common elements to the two artists are symmetrical and correspondents: Warhol's Pop Art perpetuates in an impersonal and almost manic way the images presented by the media, while Gartel's Hyper Pop feeds itself withthe images of the collective imagination, but is not limited to mythicize them, in addition to this it projects them in a plausible future world in imaginative scenarios, which, although far from what we believe to be true, appear strangely hyper-familiar , hyper-evocative , hyper-suggestive, hyper-allusive, hyper-daily, hyper-communicative, hyper-imaginative and hyper-contemporary.
