With “Impermanente” (Impermanent) Fabio Peloso shows what is left beyond the apparent and ephemeral

Nothing is stable, durable, permanent. Change is embedded in every phenomenon, every existence. Everything inevitably changes from one moment to the next. The present is impermanent, the “here and now”. Life if impermanent. Thus is a fundamental concept in Zen Buddhism, a religion Fabio Peloso has long been tied to; a religion that goes beyond the sensory datum, the image as mediation of the sacred. A religion that is imageless by definition, Zen teaches us to look beyond the apparent nothingness. “Impermanent” is the evocative name of this exhibition, with a progressive disappearance of elements and subtraction of presences, from his personal and spiritual journey. Matter gradually disappears leaving only substance. Plexiglass transparencies, evanescence of colours, evaporations of lights, diffused halos. Monochromes thin as veils, impalpable yellows, ethereal pinks, opalescent greens, inexhaustible blues. Impermanence teaches us to see things for what they are; an elusive nature. The work of Peloso is also a constant flux, a “me” in continual change, that leads to a mystical dimension.
