Gothic Line Museum of Borgo a Mozzano – Didactics

In the territory of the Municipality of Borgo a Mozzano you can visit numerous fortified works of the historic Gothic Line, some of rare type and with different characterizations, in an excellent state of conservation, since at this point the Gothic line has remained almost intact. The perfectly preserved and easily visited galleries, bunkers and shooting areas are carved into the rock. Among the other wartime stays, at the height of the chapel known as "Madonnina di Mao", on the right of the Serchio, there is an anti-tank wall in reinforced concrete about 2.50 m high, reinforced by two casemates near the two roads that flank the river. Also in the same locality, in 1992 a marble memorial stone was placed in memory of the sacrifice of Pietro Pistis, a member of the Baroni partisan formation, killed by the Germans.
