The Massaciuccoli Nature Park is part of a larger protected area known as Parco di Migliarino, San Rossore and Massaciuccoli.
It includes different natural environments, each with its own characteristics and perfectly preserved.
The protected area covers a large stretch of coast between the municipalities of Pisa, Viareggio, San Giuliano Terme, Vecchiano, Massarosa, and Livorno. Since 2004, it has been included in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve (MAB) “Selve Costiere della Toscana.”
The park is organized into different areas. The area included in the Lands of Giacomo Puccini constists of the Macchia Lucchese, Lake Massaciuccoli and the entire surrounding lake system, an ideal place to explore even by small boat.
