Monument to the Fallen of Filicaia

Monumento ai Caduti di Filicaia / Monument to the Fallen of Filicaia

In the monument, dedicated to the Fallen of the first world war, it is represented a naked soldier with helmet, dagger and an eagle on the top. On the front of the work there are tombstones dedicated to the Fallen of both wars. The commemorative sculpture is realized with local white marble; the eagle and the soldier are engraved in high-relief and, in some points, you can see the signs of chiselling. The monument is in a perimetrical enclosure delimited by a metallic balustrade.
