The monument, located next to the church of the town, has a base on which three vertical podium bodies with an epigraph are placed. Above them is a sculptural group depicting a man holding a flag with a woman in his arms holding his son (a classic representation of the homeland embodied in the family).
Details:
- Resolution of the municipal council of Lucca 17th September 1926.
The bronze group represents the model of patriotic heroism centered on the family with the warrior man defending the family nucleus (depicted bare-chested, standing with the flag in his hand) and his wife with her child in her arms destined to treat the offspring .
