The "Pontaccio" (old and broken-down bridge) of Gallicano spans the stream Turrite Cava at the place named after the bridge itself. It is a footbridge with a single round arch and, as its name implies, has long been in a poor state of preservation. The arch span is 11m, and the keystone is placed 5 m above the stream level. The bridge was built by local masons with stones drawn out of the river bed in the 14th century.

With the 2004 restoration, carried out by the Apuan Alps Regional Park in collaboration with the municipality of Gallicano, the load-bearing structure was consolidated, the parapets were rebuilt and the stone surfaces were restored.
