The Theatre was built in the early part of the 18th century by a local association of wealthy landowners, called “Accademia degli Assicurati”. Today, it is the fulcrum of a remarkable number of cultural and theatre events.
The young Giacomo Puccini also gave performances here. Various prose recitals and amateur dramatic productions are staged every year.
