In the spirit of "ideas that deserve to be disseminated", TED has launched the TEDx program, which consists of a series of independently organized local events, which aim to bring the public together to live an experience similar to the one we experience with TED.
An event is called TEDxLucca, where x = independently organized TED event, in which live presentations and video projections from TED Talks are combined in order to foster relationships and discussions among the participants.
