The work is located in front of the local church of San Michele di Moriano. The monument, with a base made of step, consists of a square body with a bronze plaque on each of the four sides. These show depictions of the cycle of death and the resurrection of the soldier through the life-giving power of the winged victory. In more detail, the images are: a winged victory, a scene of death at the front, a veiled woman with the corpse of a dead soldier, a winged victory with a soldier that rises up again. The plaques are surmounted by an obelisk with dedicatory epigraph and friezes (swords and crests).
The monument was inaugurated 10th June 1928 with an official ceremony, along with the park of remembrance.
