The Lands of Giacomo Puccini have an ancient history. The prehistoric settlements, the presence of the Ligurian and Apuan populations, the Etruscan dominion and later the Roman one, are testified by archaeological excavations which, year after year, enrich the knowledge of the past. In some cases, the same urban conformation of the cities clearly marks the Roman past of its foundation.
